So, average is
= (P+Q+R+S+T)/5

32. The average of three number is 84. If another number is included the average becomes 80. If another number is included which is 3 more than 4th number replace the 1st number then average of four number becomes 79. Find the value of 1st number?

Solution:Let three number is a, b and c
So, (a+b+c)=84 × 3=252
New number is d
So, a+b+c+d=80 × 4=320
New number is e=d+3
So, b+c+d+d+3=79 × 4=316
So, b+c+2d=313
(a+b+c+d)-(a+b+c)=320-252=68
b+c=313-136=177
So, a=252-177=75
