Solution:As on 31ˢᵗ March, 2018 Pratyush was India's fastest supercomputer which was unveiled at Pune-based Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology in January, 2018. The supercomputer has been named as 'Pratyush' meaning sun.
It is providing help to make forecasts regarding monsoon, cyclones, tsunamis, earthquakes, air quality, lighting, fishing. hot and cold waves, flood and drought, etc. At present, AIRAWAT-PSAI (installed at C-DAC, Pune) is India's fastest supercomputer.
In November, 2023 List of TOP 500 supercomputer of the world, its global ranking is 90 while Param Siddhi-Al is the second fastest supercomputer of India with global ranking of 163. Pratyush is now the third fastest supercomputer of India with global ranking of 201.
