Guidelines for the construction of a network
Activity– A project can be broken in to various jobs in the form of operation and each operation consuming time or resource is called an activity.Event– It is an instant of time at which same specification milestone has been achieved. It denotes the start or completion of an activity.
Dummy Activity– It is an artificial activity represented by dashed arrows which neither consumes any time nor resources. It two or more activities having same set of successor and succeeding activities are having other predecessor as well, then two activities should emanate from a single node.
Two activates can not be identified by the same beginning and end event.
Dummy activities which shows predensor relations already implied by other activities are called as redundant dummies and can be removed.

• Nodal analysis provides a general procedure for analysis circuits using node voltages as the circuit variables. It is a convenient method and reduces the number of equations to be solved simultaneously.
• Number of equations required to be analyzed in a given network by nodal analysis is equal to one less than the number of nodes
