Gateway of India is an arch-monument built in the early 20th century in the city of Mumbai, India. It was built by George Wittet. He was a Scottish Architect and was asked to build a Gateway in order to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary, prior to the Delhi Durbar, in December 1911.

The Gateway of India was built by the British Government.

India Gate was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. It is a war memorial of the soldiers of the British Indian Army who died in the First World War. Edwin Lutyens designed various buildings like Viceroy’s House, which is now known as Rashtrapati Bhavan, with Herbert Baker.

The India Gate resembles the French War Memorial, the Arc de Triomphe. India Gate was designed by Sir Edward Lutyens.

The historical monument ‘Talatal Ghar’ is located in Assam. It is situated at Rangpur in Assam at a distance of 4 km from present Sivasagar. It is considered one of the most spectacular examples of Tai Ahom architecture. The Talatal Ghar was initially built as an army base.

The monolithic ruins of Rajbari are located in Nagaland.

New Delhi’s Lotus Temple was designed by an architect Furiburz Sabha who belongs to Iran. It is the last of seven Major Bahai temples built around the world.

Dashavatara Temple has a Panchayatana Style of architecture. According to this, the main shrine is built on a square altar, and four smaller subsidiary shrines are built in the four corners. It is considered the best example of Gupta temple architecture. Located in the Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh, this temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.

Gingee Fort Villupuram District, Tamil Nadu, has not been notified as a National Geo-heritage Monument by the Geological Survey of India (GSI). However, the Geological Survey of India identified 26 geological sites till now.

The famous Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple is located in New Delhi. It has been built in the virtuous memory of Jyotirdhar Lord Swaminarayan. On 17th December 2007, this temple was included in the Guinness Book of World Records for being the largest Hindu temple complex in the world.
