Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY) aims at creating Self Employment and wage employment in Urban Areas. The Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana (SJSRY) seeks to provide gainful employment to the urban unemployed or underemployed through the setting up of self-employment ventures or provision of wage employment. It is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme that came into effect on 1 December 1997.

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj is the nodal ministry for the implementation of the SVAMITVA scheme launched in 2020. The full form of SVAMITVA is "Survey of Villages Abadi and Mapping with Impro-vised Technology in Village Areas".

Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana is a scheme that was launched to aid senior citizens belonging to the BPL category by providing them with Physical aids and Assisted-living Devices like spectacles, wheelchairs, dentures, etc. The scheme was launched by the Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment on Ist April 2017.

Bringing Green Revolution to Eastern India (BGREI), a sub scheme of Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY), launched in 2010-11, is being implemented in seven eastern states namely Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Eastern Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal.

The 'Pregnancy Aids Scheme' was launched on January 1, 2017 to provide financial assistance of Rs.6000/- to pregnant women. It aims to encourage institutional delivery to reduce maternal and infant mortality.

The mandate of the MGNREGA is to provide at least 100 days of guaranteed wage employment in a financial year to every rural household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work.

The National Credit Fund for Women was launched in March 1993. Its main objective is to provide microfinance to poor women for income earning activities like dairy, agriculture, shoplifting etc.
