Solution:According to Power Ministry of Indian Government, India has electricity with a total installed capacity of 428299.27 MW on 31 December, 2023. India derives most of its electricity from fossil fuels; primarily from coal (India has 240022.92 MW based on thermal energy capacity on coal which is 56.04% of total capacity. India also derives a considerable amount of electricity from hydropower sources. Currently, 46910.17 MW of installed capacity on hydroelectricity, 133886.18 MW of installed capacity on Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and 7480 MW of installed capacity on nuclear sources.
