11. The velocity of a particle moving along the x-axis varies according to the expression vₓ = 40 - 5t², where vₓ in meter per second and t is in seconds, The average acceleration in the time inteval t = 0 to t = 2s is

Correct Answer: (3) -10 ms⁻²
Solution:The velocity of a particle moving along the x-axis varies according to the expression, = Vₓ = 40 - 5t²

We have to find average acceleration in the time interval t = 0 to t = 2s.

We know, rate of change of velocity with respect to time is known as acceleration.

So, a = dVx/dt = dt(40 - 5t²)/dt = - 10t

Now, average acceleration in time interval (t = 0 to t = 2s) = {acceleration at( t = 0) + acceleration at ( t = 2s )}/2 = {-10(0) + (-10)(2)}/ 2 = - 10m/s².

Here negative sign indicates that acceleration is just opposite direction of its motion.

Solution:NASA's Dragonfly is an astrobiology mission of to Titan to assess its microbial habitability and study its prebiotic chemistry at various locations. Dragonfly will perform controlled flights and vertical takeoffs and landings between locations, while powered by a radioisotope thermoelectric generator (RTG). Dragonfly will launch in 2026 and arrive in 2034.

16. If ÷ means x, x means +, + means -, - means x, then 50 -10 x 20 + 5 ÷ 2 is

Correct Answer: (4) None of these
Solution:

17. Find the missing number.

Correct Answer: (2) 18
Solution:First figure

5  3 x 4 x 2 = 120

120 ÷ 10 = 12

Second figure

5 x 6 x 2 x 3 = 180

180 ÷ 10 = 18

Third figure

5 x 2 x 2 x 9 = 180

180 ÷ 10 = 18

20. Biuret test consists in treating the alkaline solution of proteins with______solution.

Correct Answer: (1) CuSO₄
Solution:The Biuret test is a chemical test used for detecting the presence of peptide bonds in proteins. The Biuret reagent containing Hydrated Copper sulphate, Potassium hydroxide solution and Potassium sodium tartrate, is the sole reagent in the test. An aqueous sample is treated with an equal volume of 1% strong base (sodium or potassium hydroxide) followed by a few drops of aqueous copper sulfate. If the solution turns purple, it contains protein.
