Solution:Akbar conquered Gujarat in 1572-73 and founded a city named Fatehpur Sikri. A section of history suggest that Emperor Akbar built the Buland Darwaza of Sikri in the form of victory pillar. Whereas Percy Brown hold the view that it was built to commemorate the Deccan Victory in 1601.Buland Darwaza at Fatehpur Sikri was built by the Mughal emperor, Akbar in 1601.
It was built to commemorate his victory over Gujarat.
It is made of red and buff sandstone and decorated by carving and laying of white and black marble.
