• It was added to the constitution by the 86th Amendment Act, 2002.

• As the resources are owned by government of India, it can't levy any tax.

• The Scheme is implemented with the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, State Revenue Department, State Panchayati Raj Department and Survey of India.

• Article 146 of the Constitution deals with the appointments of officers and servants of the Supreme Court Registry.
