• The Ganges River Dolphin or also called 'Susu,' is the National Aquatic Animal of India since 18th May 2010.

• It also has 16 regional centres located in different parts of the country.

• It was founded on 1 July 1916.

• NOCIL Ltd was incorporated on 11 May 1961 as National Organic Chemical Industries Ltd.

• In the year 1968, the company commenced their production of petrochemicals at NOCIL in technical collaboration with the Royal Dutch Shell Group.
