Ideal conditions for location/location of shipbuilding industry: Proximity to iron and steel industry and skilled labour. The process of converting raw materials into manufactured goods on a large scale with the help of machines is called manufacturing industry. Industries can be established only in those places where favorable conditions exist.
There are many factors like geographical, economic, political and historical which influence the industrial development at a place.
(I) Geographical factors- Raw material, driving power, labour, transport and communication means, market, climate, water supply etc. are important.
(II) Economic factors- Among these factors, capital, banking system and insurance facility have great importance.
(III) Political stability in political factors, government policy and historical industrial inertia or initial momentum, industrial fame and migration of population, all these factors affect the construction industry.

Venezuela is a part of OPEC among the countries of South America. OPEC was established in Baghdad, Iraq in 1960 as a result of the signing of an agreement by Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela.
