Solution:

As there are 48 students in a class. The number of girls is half of the
number of boys.
Then the number of boys = 32 and number of girls = 16 ;
As Rashmi is 15th from the top, i.e. there are 14 people above Rashmi out of which 5 are girls ;
So, the number of boys above Rashmi = (14 - 5) = 9 boys.
Then number of boys below Rashmi = (32 - 9) = 23 boys ;
So, Rashmi’s rank is better than 23 boys.
