Solution:Qualification for election as Chairperson or Councilor [Substituted by M.P. Act No. 18 of 1997.] (1) Subject to the provisions of this Act, a person who is enrolled in the Municipal Electoral Roll as a voter, shall be qualified to be a candidate- (a) for the election of Chairperson, if he is not less than twenty five years of age; and (b) for the election of Councilor, if he is not less than twenty one years of age.
