The cabinet mission aim was to discuss the transfer of power from British to Indian leadership. Proposal of the Cabinet Mission, 1946 were as follows
(a) The unity of India had to be retained
(b) It proposed a very loose union of all the Indian. territories under a centre that would countrol merely defence, the foreign affairs and the communication.
