Regional carrier Flybig commenced its services from Itanagar to Guwahati in January 2023.
● The Flybig carrier has commenced flights from Hollongi in Arunachal Pradesh to Guwahati in Assam.
● With this, Itanagar has become the 10th destination on the Flybig network while the third destination in Arunachal Pradesh alone.

A credit default swap (CDS) is a particular type of swap designed to transfer the credit exposure of fixed income products to another party.
● It is a financial swap agreement that the seller of the CDS will compensate the buyer in the event of a debt default or other credit event.
● That is, the seller of the CDS insures the buyer against some reference asset defaulting.

The government owns 45.48% of IDBI Bank.
● Besides, state-owned Life Insurance Corp of India (LIC) holds 49.24% in the bank.
● The Government along with Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) together plan over 60 per cent stake sale in the bank along with management control as part of strategic disinvestment.

● According to the report, the richest 1 per cent of Indians own over 13 times more wealth than the bottom 50 percent.

Parliamentarian and author, Shashi Tharoor’s latest book Ambedkar: A Life was launched at the Kitaab Kolkata event in January 2023.
● In this new biography, Tharoor traces Ambedkar’s life from his birth into a family of Mahars in the Bombay Presidency on 14 April 1891 to his death in Delhi on 6 December 1956.

M Pranesh, in January 2023, clinched he Rilton Cup, the first tournament of the FIDE Circuit, in Stoehkolm to become India’s 79th chess Grandmaster.
● Pranesh crossed the 2500-rating threshold and became a GM, having completed his three norms before the Rilton Cup.

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and Microsoft signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in January 2023 to help Indian Space tech start-ups with technology tools, go-to-market support, and mentoring to help them scale and become business ready.
● Through this MoU, the space tech startups identified by ISRO will be onboarded onto the Microsoft for Startups Founders Hub.
