The fifth edition of the Khelo India Youth Games was held in eight cities of Madhya Pradesh from 31 January 2023 to 11 February 2023.
● These eight host cities were Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, Maheshwar, Mandla and Balaghat.
● Maharashtra emerged as the overall champion by securing a total of 161 medals.

October 15 is celebrated as the International Day of Rural Women across the world.
● The day focuses to promote gender quality and highlight the important role played by women in rural areas.

India ranked 107th out of 121 countries on Global Hunger Index 2022.
● In Asia, Afghanistan with a rank of 109 is the only country behind India.
● Neighbouring countries - Pakistan (99), Bangladesh (84), Nepal (81) and Sri Lanka (64) have all fared better than India.
● According to the statista, Yemen and the Central African Republic were among the most affected countries by hunger and malnutrition in 2022.

SEBI is managed by its board of nine members, which consist of the following people:
● The Chairman, who is nominated by the Union Government of India.
● Two members from the Union Finance Ministry.
● One member from the Reserve Bank of India.
● The remaining five members are nominated by the Union Government of India, and out of them at least three should be whole-time members.
● Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) comes under the Ministry of Finance of the Government of India and regulates the securities and commodity markets. SEBI was established as an executive body on April 12, 1988 and was given statutory powers on January 30, 1992. SEBI is an important institution in the financial market of India, it maintains market integrity and protects the interests of investors.

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, on 1 October 2022, unveiled a model of the humanoid “Optimus” robot.
● The robot uses some of the same Artificial Intelligence (AI) software and sensors as the Autopilot driving assistance system in Tesla vehicles.
● The word Optimus is inspired by the powerful and benevolent leader of the Autobots in the Transformers media franchise.

Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, on 28 October 2022, announced that a dedicated cyber intelligence unit will be set up in the state to curb cyber and financial crime.
● The cyber intelligence unit will be created using advanced technology and with a view that cybercrime may pose an increasing challenge in the coming times.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on 29 October 2022 said that India will contribute $500,000 to the United Nations Trust Fund for Counter Terrorism this year to aid capacity-building support to member states in combating terrorism.
● S Jaishankar made the announcement during his address at the plenary session of the UNSC's special meeting of the Counter Terrorism Committee.

The fourth edition of the 'India Clean Air Summit' (ICAS) was held in Bengaluru on 23 August 2022.
● It was organised by the Centre for Air Pollution Studies and the Centre for Study of Science, Technology and Policy.
