Solution:

In original mixture,
Milk : Water = 150 : 30 = 5 : 1 In remaining 150 litres of mixture,

Quantity of milk added = 5x litres
Quantity of water added = 6x litres
According to the question,
∴ Quantity of water added = 6x = 6 × 5 = 30 litres

Solution:

Ratio of investments of A and B
= 1: 2.5 = 10 : 25= 2: 5
Total investment = Rs. 28000
∴ A's investment
= Rs. 20000
∴ Total annual profit
= 8000 – 2500 = Rs. 5500
Ratio of shares
= 8000 × 3 : 20000
= 24 : 20 = 6 : 5
