The Serengeti National Park is a large national park in northern Tanzania.

The allocation to Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), was raised by whopping 36 per cent to Rs 19,000 crore, from Rs 14,000 crore in the Budget 2022-23.
● Under the increased allocation, special focus in the PMGSY was given to construction of roads in left wing extremist affected areas and north-eastern states.

As many as 13,737 out of 14,200 villages in Telangana are on the ODF Plus list, which is 96.74%.
● Telangana was followed by Tamil Nadu with 4,432 villages (35.39%) and Karnataka with 1,511 villages (5.59%).

SVAMITVA is a Central Sector Scheme of Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
● It was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on National Panchayati Raj Day, 24th April 2021 after successful completion of pilot phase of scheme (2020-2021) in 9 states.
● The Scheme is a reformative step towards establishment of clear ownership of property in rural inhabited (Abadi) areas.

The Constitution (73rd Amendment) Act was passed in 1992 and it came into effect on 24 April 1993.
● It added a new Part IX to the constitution titled “The Panchayats” covering provisions from Article 243 to 243(O).
● It also added a new·Eleventh Schedule covering 29 subjects within the functions of the Panchayats.
