Solution:Pandita Ramabai started operating the Mukti Mission in 1889, which was intended to provide shelter to destitute women. She returned to India in 1889 and in the same year, established Sharada Sadan in Bombay for high-caste widows.
Later, she moved this institution to Poona, where she was again subjected to severe criticism from conservative elements of the Hindu society and Tilak. Due to increasing Swadeshi (boycott) non-cooperation and criticism, she changed 'Sharada Sadan' to 'Christian Mukti Sadan,' which was later named Ramabai Mukti Mission.
