Chatuhsatika was written by Arya Deva. Arya Deva was a Mahayana Buddhist and disciple of Nagarjuna and Madhyamaka philosopher. Chatuhstika was influential work on Madhyamaka in India. and Tibet. Aryadeva was from Simhala.

Hathnora specimen belongs to Homo Erectus. on Dec 5,1982 the geologist Arun Sonakia discovered the only known fossil of Human ancestor from bank of Narmada in Hathnora The Narmada human, a fossil skull belong to category of Homo erectus who inhabited the earth from 1.8 million to 200000 years ago and preceded Homo sapiens.

The archaeological site of Uttarbaini which yielded early Paleolithic artefacts is located in Jammu. Tools found form Uttarbaini dated back 3 to 25 in Jammu & Himachal belong to same age. Paleolithic evidence widespread from Jammu to Kangra and lower Himachal Pradesh & Punjab.

Karsandas Mulji started 'Satya prakash' in Gujarati in 1820 to advocate widow remarriage. Later it was merged with Rast Goftar news paper published from Bombay. Karsandas come to prominence due to Maharaja Libel Case in 1816 which was widely seen as an attempt to reform religious practices.
