Two sisters who were living in a village visited their apple orchard one day. One of the sisters was married and another was unmarried. The village was on the bank of a river. They did not reach home well in time.
Brother got worried and went out to look for them. Meantime the neighbours also went out to look for them but could not find them. People kept on looking for them till midnight using torch and kerosene lamps, but in vain.
Though, few villagers had seen them drinking water near a spring. This spring was located few yards away from their apple orchard. Next day, early morning the two bodies were recovered on the bank of the river.
The two bodies were lying around 3 ft away from each other. People gathered and informed the family members and police. The bodies were taken to the nearby hospital. The villagers shouted anti government slogans and suspected four police officers have raped and killed them.
The doctor who examined the bodies and conducted post-mortem declared to media that they have been raped. The doctor preserved some viscera also. Some insects were found in the lungs.
Agitation against government triggered as the brother and neighbours assumed that they have been raped by police officers on duty. But meantime the bodies were handed over to the family who buried them performing all rituals.
The case was handed over to other investigating agency as the report by the first one had lot of controversies.
