'Mrs. ABC' is 28 years old, currently married woman. She has 1-year-old girl child, delivered by normal vaginal delivery. The baby is breastfed with weaning started at the appropriate age. She (client) has resumed her menstruation 6 months after delivery.
Since then, her menstrual periods are regular, painless and with moderate amount of bleeding for 3-4 days. She has no history of any lower abdominal pain till now. She visited the MCH clinic and was advised regarding spacing methods.
After having understanding about all options available, she opted for Cu-T 380 Ag insertion at appropriate time. After one month, she presented to the hospital with complaints of burning while passing urine, increased frequency of urination, low backache and discharge per vaginum since one week.
Examination revealed greenish frothy discharge per vaginum with normal cervix. Bimanual pelvic examination was also normal. She was treated as per standard treatment protocol for syndromic management of RTI. Patient improved with the treatment.
